Content, Ethics and Professionalism: a busy first half of 2022

The first half of 2022 was a busy period for the Crystal team.

We wrote a total of 150 announcements for clients in H1, covering topics ranging from environmental initiatives and community projects to appointment stories and multi-million-pound private equity and acquisition deals.

Alongside this, we wrote articles, blog posts, and speeches, grew our social media following and engagement, and welcomed our Account Executive Katie to the team.

We commented on workplace stress, Women’s History Month, ESG comms and much more on our own Crystal blog and prioritised our learning and development by studying for various qualifications and diplomas.

With the global landscape continuing to shift dramatically, both financially and politically, it has been a period during which the need for clear, accurate, and ethical communication has become even more evident. We have worked hard to uphold professional standards and to ensure that we are always working together effectively with our clients to support them in meeting their goals.

Here is a summary of some of our highlights from the last six months:

  • We provided communications support across many jurisdictions, including the US, the Caribbean, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Dublin, and the UK

  • We assisted with communications around corporate acquisitions in the Channel Islands, Luxembourg and the US

  • We grew our client base in the service provider and fintech space

  • We secured positive coverage in major trade titles, including STEP Journal, Wealthbriefing, Funds Europe, Private Funds CFO, Real Deals and The Lawyer

  • We supported purpose-driven campaigns, including the launch of an investment network for women, a global staff fundraising initiative focused on education, and the launch of a new internship program for graduates

  • We created diverse blog and digital content for clients, on topics including sustainable finance for fiduciaries, the growth of SPACS and private equity trends

  • We wrote a number of speeches for C-suite leaders at events in the Channel Islands, the UK and overseas

  • Our director Adam completed his CIPR Digital Communications Diploma, which is designed to enable experienced public relations professionals to enhance their use of digital tools, techniques and research within strategic communications.

  • We provided monthly jurisdictional roundups of key news stories for Comms professionals around the world through our Crystal Concise series

Looking into the second half of the year, we’re looking forward to building on these achievements, supporting our growing client base, and sourcing and securing more opportunities to support our clients’ reputational goals.
