Crystal PR Director Achieves Digital Comms Diploma
Adam Riddell, Director at Crystal PR, has recently passed the Specialist Diploma in Digital Communications from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
Undertaken over the past 12 months, the qualification, which is taught at postgraduate level, is designed to enable experienced public relations professionals to enhance their use of digital tools, techniques and research within strategic communications.
The course also explores the disruptive and transformative impact of digital technologies on society, business, organisations and individuals, with a specific emphasis on the role and ethical implications of social media and digital communications management.
Adam has a career in public relations spanning more than 16 years and currently leads on strategy for a number of major international financial and legal services businesses and public sector organisations. He is a former Chair of the IoD Jersey's PR sub-committee and of the CIPR Channel Islands Group and is a CIPR Chartered Practitioner and Fellow.
Commenting on his success, Adam said:
“Increasingly, the communications landscape is being shaped by technology, whether we are content consumers or content creators. As communications professionals we need to be at the forefront of what digital adoption means and how technology can be applied ethically in a strategic communications context. This was a challenging qualification but one that is really pivotal to the future of PR practice.”
Mike Sunier, Managing Director, Crystal PR, added:
‘We very much support those in the team seeking career development through education and course work and I’m delighted that Adam has obtained this latest professional qualification which adds further to his all round expertise in creating and executing communication strategies. As a provider of financial services PR both in the Channel Islands and across many of the leading finance centres, it’s important that we keep close to developments in the digital space that impact how businesses communicate effectively.’
