  • Isle of Man: the IoM has unveiled its climate change plan, which sets out steps the island will take over the next five years if it is to meet its net zero target by 2050

  • Luxembourg: reflecting the challenging recruitment market, the number of jobs available through Luxembourg’s unemployment agency reached a record high this summer, 40% higher than at the same point last year

  • Cayman Islands: the cost of living continues to impact IFCs, with the Cayman Compass exploring how the sky-high cost of living there is impacting the job market across all sectors

  • Jersey: Following the appointment of a new Chief Minister in Deputy Kristina Moore, the new Council of Ministers has published a 100 day plan.

  • Guernsey: a new law has been approved and a consultation launched to provide clarity around the treatment and regulation of Virtual Asset Service Providers

  • UK: new social media and search engine rules have been introduced which aim to tackle overseas state-sponsored disinformation

  • Hong Kong: media platform Asian Legal Business has launched a new-look website

  • Transparency: Companies House in the UK announced its intention to go live with its new Register of Overseas Entities in August

  • Social Media: New Ofcom data shows that, unsurprisingly, young teens are turning away from traditional sources and getting their news from Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
