Our ideal candidate would be a university graduate with at least 1- 2 years’ experience in a communications, marketing, journalism, digital or related role, and proven first class inter-personal and writing skills, who works hard as part of a team and can respond quickly and efficiently to the communication needs of market leading, globally-focussed clients.

Job Description

In this role, your duties would include:

  • Manage day to day activity on an ongoing basis on behalf of clients to ensure that their PR needs are met efficiently and on a consistent basis.

  • Liaise as necessary with third parties to progress work, develop strategies and action plans for clients for approval by the Directors.

  • Attend regular client meetings, prepare agendas, write reports of meetings and undertake activity based on client requirements. Take instructions from clients and action directly.

  • Take responsibility for maintaining accuracy and a consistent level of quality work, hallmarks of the agency.

  • Develop and nurture strong links with all media in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, trade journalists in London and in other key locations as directed.

  • Develop and nurture links with a range of new relevant media in London and overseas.

  • Take briefings from clients and draft and distribute press releases and articles.

  • Provide writing skills for any client communication as directed including brochures, newsletters, online and social media content.

  • Handle media enquiries on behalf of clients and in consultation with the Directors, recommend and assist with responses.

  • Arrange and attend press briefings.

  • Arrange photography and attend media photos.

  • Help to manage events when required by clients.

  • Analyse communication issues and developments strategically and draft papers and notes in conjunction with the Directors.

  • Take a proactive approach to the social media requirements of the agency, recommending ideas and supporting the work of the agency team to maximise social media engagement.

  • Read designated media and help with identifying, collating and evaluating coverage.

  • Research online and in other resources for new media opportunities relevant to our clients.

  • Attend pitches and presentations on behalf of the agency.

  • Act as an ambassador for the agency in the business environment and monitor for new business opportunities on behalf of the agency.
